We realize that in addition to visiting our Urgent Care Department for minor emergencies, acute problems and urgent medical needs, you may have questions about what specific COVID-19 related care we offer.
We are following Santa Barbara County Public Health Department guidelines. Due to the volume of request for testing and limited resources, we are currently only testing patients who have COVID-19 symptoms or who have had close contact with someone who has tested positive.
Yes. If you are a Sansum Clinic patient with a primary care provider and you need a COVID-19 test, we recommend you message your primary care provider through MyChart and they will assist with scheduling a test for you.
If you are not a Sansum Clinic patient or you do not have a primary care physician, but need a COVID-19 test due to symptoms or exposure, go to Urgent Care located at 215 Pesetas Lane where you will be seen on a first come, first serve basis. Walk-ins are accepted daily, from 8:00 am – 7:00 pm.
Telehealth appointments at Urgent Care are only available for follow-up appointments, not for new medical concerns. If you are in need of Urgent Care for a new minor emergency or acute problem, please go to Urgent Care at 215 Pesetas Lane for a walk-up appointment, or call (805) 563-6110 to see if you can schedule a same day appointment.

We require everyone to wear a mask at all times inside our clinic facilities. All patients are screened prior to entry. There is an outdoor waiting area for those who prefer to sit outdoors until their appointment begins. There is a separate, dedicated area for COVID-19 testing.
